SKYSCRAPER BREWING COMPANY ANNOUNCES ANNIVERSARY PARTY

El Monte, CA – Skyscraper Brewing Company will mark one full year of brewing and distributing its beers this January. In that time, the company has won numerous awards for its beers, sponsored charity events, and introduced its first seasonal beer – Winter Warmer Ale. To celebrate this milestone, the brewery is opening its doors and its taps on Saturday, January 19, 2008. From 2pm to 8pm, the public is invited to visit the brewery and sample the locally brewed ales and lagers. Brewer and founder Philip Sutton will be on hand to answer questions and guide visitors through the brewery and the brewing process. This will probably be the last time to sample the Winter Warmer Ale this season, since kegs of this limited-release brew are moving rapidly.

Skyscraper Brewing Company was founded in 2005 by Philip Sutton, a longtime homebrewer and experienced craft brewer with a background in Engineering. The company aims to be the premier microbrewery in the Los Angeles area, distributing high-quality, flavorful beers to all of Southern California. The brewery currently produces two award-winning beers yearround: Bulldozer Honeyweizen is an American-style Hefeweizen brewed with real wildflower honey, and Lug Nut Lager is a smooth amber lager with citrus hop aroma. The brewery's first seasonal beer, Winter Warmer Ale, is a red ale with honey and spices, a perfect complement to holiday meals.

If you'd like more information on this story or on the brewery, please call Philip Sutton at 626-575-0770 or email psutton@skyscraperbrewing.com.
