Although the brewery has only been open for six months, its beers are already receiving praise. Skyscraper's Lug Nut Lager won bronze ribbons at the 2007 San Diego County Fair and 2007 California State Fair. Bulldozer Honeyweizen also won a bronze ribbon at the 2007 California State Fair.
To celebrate the recent awards Skyscraper Brewing Company is holding an Open House. The Event kicks off at 12:00 noon on August 11th and ends at 8:00 pm. The Open House will feature beer tasting and a barbecue. Brewery Tours by Philip Sutton, brewer and founder of Skyscraper, are scheduled every two hours beginning at 1:00pm. The tour will allow the community to see how their local brewery operates and explain how beer is made from “grain to glass.”
The Event is open to anybody who wishes to participate, however, reservations for this Event are mandatory.
You can secure a reservation for the Open House two ways:
2) Call the brewery at 626-575-0770 and leave the complete (first and last) names of everybody wishing to attend and a phone number so the reservation can be confirmed.
Skyscraper Brewing Company was founded in 2005 by Philip Sutton, a longtime homebrewer and experienced craft brewer with a background in Engineering. The company aims to be the premier microbrewery in the Los Angeles area, distributing high-quality, flavorful beers to all of Southern California. The brewery currently produces two award-winning beers: Bulldozer Honeyweizen is an American-style Hefeweizen brewed with real wildflower honey, and Lug Nut Lager is a smooth amber lager with citrus hop aroma.
