Barleywine, the Best of Both Worlds
Odell Brewing
Introduces Second Single Serve Brew
Fort Collins, Colo. – On October 5, 2009, Odell Brewing Company will release
India Barleywine, the second in a series of single serve 750 ml offerings.
Part double IPA and part malty sweet
barleywine, India Barleywine is a unique and complex beer. Copious amounts of
malts and hops intertwine giving the beer exceptional flavor and aroma. When
enjoyed fresh, India Barleywine delivers a bright hop character, and when
cellared, flavors of dried fruit emerge.
“We wanted to share our pilot brewing system
creations beyond our Tap Room,” said Brendan McGivney, head of production, “so
we decided to offer some of our most highly regarded brews in 750 ml, cork and
cage bottles. Our single serve beers are bottle conditioned to allow for natural
carbonation, and they will continue to age and evolve gracefully for years to
come.”
India Barleywine rings in at 9.7% ABV with an
impressive 90 IBUs. It follows the brewery’s Bourbon Barrel Stout in a series of
single serve offerings that will also include Mountain Standard, an ale
featuring Colorado grown organic hops.
Odell Brewing will offer samples
of India Barleywine on October 5th during an uncorking event in the brewery’s
Tap Room. India Barleywine will be available in the brewery’s eight state
distributor region and will retail for around $14.99-$15.99 per bottle.
