Jekyll Brewing's Redneck Christmas Stout

Redneck Christmas Stout brewed by Jekyll Brewing in Alpharetta, Georgia

Jekyll's Redneck Christmas Stout is comprised with a little bit of everything – tones of chocolate & roasted malts along with hints of coffee & cream texture from oats. The medium hop bitterness supports the robust flavors which display the complex layers. Add mocha coffee & peppermint and it magnifies the roast & chocolate. IBU: 58. ABV: 8.0%.

Review from Beer Advocate
Appearance: Opaque brown-black body beneath a tan head. Firm creamy head. Good lacing.

Aroma: Solidly chocolate mint.

Flavor: More cocoa/mocha and roast with mint. Well balanced. Flavors combine nicely, bouncing back and forth between the two components. Dry finish. Mint lingers gently.

Mouthfeel: Medium to medium light in body with a moderate, smooth carbonation.

Overall:  Pleasant. Memorable. A great seasonal beer. I would love to have this at my holiday dinner table between the main meal and dessert. Wonderful.
