The Great American Beer Festival is once again an image in the rear-view mirror, and only the regrets of post-Festival indiscretions and the stench of beer-soaked clothing remain. Flying Dog once again claimed its spot among the elite breweries, taking home two medals. Dogtoberfest won Gold for German-Style Märzen and Old Scratch furthered its legacy as one of the best beers on the planet by winning Silver for American-Style Amber Lager. This raises Old Scratch's tally to 4 GABF medals and 2 World Beer Cup medals in the past 5 years. There are few (if any) beers out there that can claim that kind of supremacy, so go to your local booze emporium and pick up a 6-pack, case (or better yet, a keg) of these delicious brews. Flying Dog Costume Contest We here at Flying Dog believe Halloween should be a national holiday. When else can adults play dress-up and do regrettable things under a disguise of a mask and feel perfectly normal?
