Hyannis, MA – Beer Advocate Magazine recently unleashed its 2007 list of top 50 American Breweries, which included Cape Cod’s own Cape Cod Beer. In a field of about 1,400 American “craft” breweries. Cape Cod Beer ranked 50th in a list that reads a bit like a who’s who in the craft beer industry. Cape Cod Beer is one of the youngest and smallest craft breweries listed, and one of only two from Massachusetts. Others include Smuttynose Brewing (#45), Sierra Nevada (#41), Rogue (#44) and Stone Brewing (#2). The list was based on user reviews at Beer Advocate.com
“We’re thrilled to be included amongst so many industry greats, and so many seasoned craft breweries”, explains Todd Marcus, Brewmaster & owner of Cape Cod Beer. “Being such a young company, we never would have imagined we’d be recognized at such a national level.” BeerAdvocate.com serves over 5 million page views per month, with a membership of over 113,174 from 194 different countries.
