Saint Arnold Brewing Up 13th Anniversary Celebration(May 18) - Texas - Saint Arnold Brewing Company is planning to celebrate the delivery of its first keg of beer 13 years ago. During that period, the Houston-based brewery stuck to a strategy of cultivating a community of customers across Texas who appreciate good beer and making fresh, full-flavored beer for them to enjoy. Rogue Ales hosts Ale-fest(May 17) - Oregon - Are you a dog lover? A beer lover? Both? This weekend Rogue Ales Brewery in Newport, Ore. will host the Brewer's Memorial Ale-fest, in memory of a black lab named Brewer, who once roamed Rogue Ales like he owned it. Complete Story
Brick Brewing signs contract with Banks(May 17) - Canada - Canada's Brick Brewing Company has expanded its contract brewing business with a multi-year agreement to brew Tiger Malt non-alcoholic beer for the Canadian market for Banks Brewing Barbados. Complete Story

Canadian breweries all but gobbled up(May 14) - Vancouver - Canadian-owned breweries are disappearing faster than a cold beer on a hot day. Steven Poirier, president of New Brunswick-based Moosehead Breweries, says a huge slice of Canada's brewing industry has been swallowed by foreign interests -- mostly U.S. brewing giants. Anheuser-Busch clogging merrily into hot and trendy suds territory(May 13) - Ohio - Anheuser-Busch is developing products that might have made Adolphus Busch, the brewery's patriarch, do a double take. Seashore venue; more than 100 domestic and imported beers; chili cookoff; live music by "Fat Betty"; proceeds benefit the Rotary's charitable work. Beer from Michigan and around the world; beer judging and "people's choice" awards; brewing demonstrations; food, live music, and souvenirs. Beer from 25 microbreweries, live music all day, food provided by Iron Hill Brewery. Connecticut's longest continuously-running beer festival, with more than 135 beers from over 40 breweries; food and live music. Tickets go on sale April 1. Twenty-fifth annual event; microbrew tasting, featuring area breweries; AHA/BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition; wine, cider, and mead; live music; homebrewing demonstration; "mega" raffle. Festival benefits Linn Benton Food Share and the Bob McCracken Scholarship Fund at the Oregon State University Fermentation Sciences Department. Microbrewed beer from Long Island and around the country (beer list to be provided on the festival website), live music.
