Saint Arnold Brewing Up 13th Anniversary Celebration(May 18) - Texas -  Saint Arnold Brewing Company is planning to celebrate the delivery of its first keg of beer 13 years ago. During that period, the Houston-based brewery stuck to a strategy of cultivating a community of customers across Texas who appreciate good beer and making fresh, full-flavored beer for them to enjoy. Rogue Ales hosts Ale-fest(May 17) - Oregon - Are you a dog lover? A beer lover? Both? This weekend Rogue Ales Brewery in Newport, Ore. will host the Brewer's Memorial Ale-fest, in memory of a black lab named Brewer, who once roamed Rogue Ales like he owned it. Complete Story

Brick Brewing signs contract with Banks(May 17) - Canada - Canada's Brick Brewing Company has expanded its contract brewing business with a multi-year agreement to brew Tiger Malt non-alcoholic beer for the Canadian market for Banks Brewing Barbados. Complete Story

Canadian breweries all but gobbled up(May 14)  - Vancouver - Canadian-owned breweries are disappearing faster than a cold beer on a hot day. Steven Poirier, president of New Brunswick-based Moosehead Breweries, says a huge slice of Canada's brewing industry has been swallowed by foreign interests -- mostly U.S. brewing giants. CherryVale brewery to open July 3(May 14) - Illinois - Granite City Food & Brewery will open July 3, said Amy Knealing of Granite City based in St. Louis Park, Minn. Granite has 18 locations in the Midwest. The Rockford restaurant will be its first in Illinois. Complete Story

New Glarus nails the Belgian style(May 14) - New York - New Glarus' Belgian quadruple is another of the brewery's Unplugged offerings of one-off brews and in this case, I hope it's one that becomes a regular seasonal offering. Anheuser-Busch clogging merrily into hot and trendy suds territory(May 13) - Ohio - Anheuser-Busch is developing products that might have made Adolphus Busch, the brewery's patriarch, do a double take. Brewer's Memorial Ale Fest - Newport, OR - May 18-19
Inaugural event, marking the death of the brewery's beloved mascot; beer from more than 30 breweries; dog wash and doggy Olympics; brewer's dinner; Texas Hold-Em poker; live music, food booths, and craft vendors.

Springfest at the Beach - New London, CT - May 18
Seashore venue; more than 100 domestic and imported beers; chili cookoff; live music by "Fat Betty"; proceeds benefit the Rotary's charitable work.

World Expo of Beer - Frankenmuth, MI - May 18-19
Beer from Michigan and around the world; beer judging and "people's choice" awards; brewing demonstrations; food, live music, and souvenirs.

Dunwoody Beer Festival - Atlanta, GA - May 19
Over 150 beers, malt beverages, and liquors from countries all over the world.

Brandywine Valley Craft Brewers' Festival - Media, PA - May 19
Beer from 25 microbreweries, live music all day, food provided by Iron Hill Brewery.
Connecticut's longest continuously-running beer festival, with more than 135 beers from over 40 breweries; food and live music. Tickets go on sale April 1.

Oregon Homebrew & Microbrew Festival - Corvallis, OR  - May 19
Twenty-fifth annual event; microbrew tasting, featuring area breweries; AHA/BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition; wine, cider, and mead; live music; homebrewing demonstration; "mega" raffle. Festival benefits Linn Benton Food Share and the Bob McCracken Scholarship Fund at the Oregon State University Fermentation Sciences Department.

Spring Craft Beer Festival - Uniondale, NY - May 19
Microbrewed beer from Long Island and around the country (beer list to be provided on the festival website), live music.
 
Virginia Beer Festival - Norfolk, VA - May 19
Waterfront venue; beer from more than 35 domestic and international breweries; live music; event is part of the Virginia Arts Festival.
 
West Coast Brew Fest - Sacramento, CA - May 19
Riverfront venue; beer from California, Oregon, and Washington breweries; commercial craft beer competition; food and live music; proceeds benefit local charities.
 
Zoo Brew at the Oregon Zoo - Portland, OR  - May 19
More than 20 Northwest microbrews; food from Oregon Zoo Catering; live entertainment featuring Lions of Batucada, Sneakin' Out, and Anomalous Quintet.
 
Wisconsin Micro-Brewers Beer Fest - Chilton, WI  - May 20
