Rogue celebrates 10,000 brews(March 15) - Oregon - On May 18, 1989, Brewmaster John Maier concocted the first batch of Rogue Ales in a garage on the Newport Bayfront - the former home of the microbrew emporium that has since expanded to include a "worldwide headquarters" with brewery, pub, and restaurant in South Beach, the nearby Rogue House of Spirits pub and distillery, Rogue Ales Public House on the Newport Bayfront, another distillery and pub in Portland, and pubs in Eugene, Issaquah, Wash., and San Francisco. Cadillac Mountain Stout
The Bar Harbor Brewing Company in Bar Harbor, Maine may be small, but the flavor in their beers is large. At the World Beer Championships, Cadillic Mountain Stout won one of the most competitive category, dry stouts and earning a rare platinum medal in the process.  Website
