4. Pumking - Southern Tier Brewing Company
Pumking is an ode to Púca, a creature of Celtic folklore, who is both feared and respected by those who believe in it. Púca is said to waylay travelers throughout the night, tossing them on its back, and providing them the ride of their lives, from which they return forever changed! Brewed in the spirit of All Hallows Eve, a time of year when spirits can make contact with the physical world and when magic is most potent. Pour Pumking into a goblet and allow it’s alluring spirit to overflow. As spicy aromas present themselves, let its deep copper color entrance you as your journey into this mystical brew has just begun. As the first drops touch your tongue a magical spell will bewitch your taste buds making it difficult to escape. 8.6% abv

5. La Parcela- #1 Pumpkin Ale - Jolly Pumpkin
Packed with real pumpkins, hints of spice and a gentle kiss of cacao to lighten the soul. An everyday easy way to fill your squashy quotient. Only available for a few short months. Not to be missed.
6. Gourds Gone Wild - Tampa Bay Brewing
Pours a brown-amber with a medium light tan head. Aroma is something akin to pumpkin pie & root beer. The individual spices within the aroma are latent but beautiful with nutmeg & clove - smells awesome. Taste is identical and smooth. This is not as sweet as it smells, but the spices are definitely the stars. I don’t get pumpkin and not necessarily pumpkin pie either, but I do get something appropriate for the season. Well done and unique.

7. Ichabod Ale - New Holland Brewing Company
Ichabod combines malted barley and real pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg in a delicious and inviting brew.

Ichabod pairs well with autumnal foods such as poultry and root vegetables. After dinner, try it with your favorite dessert. 4.7% abv.

Lively, spicy aromas and flavors of pumpkin pie, gingerbread pudding, and candied yams with an oily, lively, finely carbonated, sweet medium-to-full body and a warming, interesting, medium-long spiced nuts, peppery greens, chocolate, and chicory finish. A delicious and vivacious pumpkin spice beer.

The Great’er Pumpkin pours a rich, deep burnished orange color with a thick white head. Bourbon barrel aging rounds out its flavors with notes of oak, vanilla, and bourbon.

Honorable Mention
All Hallows Ale - HopDog BeerWorks, Australia

Pumpkinated Belgian ale. Brewed with roasted pumpkins, spices, specialty sugars and mischief in mind. HopDog All Hallowed Ale is a beer made for the Witching Hour. Brimming with earthy and spicy aromas and a little bit of that tell tale Belgian funk, it’s body and mouthfeel be the heady strength of this limited edition release. Best consumed on the Hallowed Eve, in a grave yard, under a full moon. if possible. Or just in a wide mouthed goblet. Pop the green cap and release the unspeakable.

Terrapin Pumpkinfest  - Terrapin Beer Company
‘Pumpkinfest’ is a traditional Octoberfest brewed with over 1 pound of pumpkin per barrel along with pumpkin spices. All of the malt of a German Fest beer and all the spice of Grandma’s pumpkin pie!”

Pumpkin Lager Beer - Lakefront Brewery
Pours a light orange with an off-white head. Flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves meld well with a slightly sweet background that actually does taste a bit like pumpkin. Caramel and Munich malts reinforce this beer's mouthfeel and lend to the malty sweetness.

Pumpkinhead Ale -
Shipyard Brewing Co.
Butterscotch was present in the aroma and very noticeable in the taste. Some nice pumpkin is also present but in a very creamy way. Kind of a mixture of Cool Whip and pumpkin paste. Not a lot of spice is present but sweet malt is. A bit of toffee and vanilla come to mind.

Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale
- Smuttynose Brewing Company, New Hampshire
Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale is our homage to the craft and heritage of America’s brewers. Recipes calling for the use of pumpkins in beer date back to early colonial times, when brewers sought to extend their supply of costly imported malt with locally grown ingredients, such as squash and “pompions.”
Night Owl Pumpkin Ale
- Elysian Brewing Company, Washington
Brewed with 150 lbs. of pumpkin in each batch. Made with Pale, Munich and Crystal malts green and roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin in the mash, boil and fermenter. Bittered with Horizon hops. Spiced in conditioning with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and allspice.

Pumpkin Ale - AleWerks Brewing Company

This amber colored ale is loaded with Pumpkin pie aroma and flavor. It actually does taste like Pumpkin pie! At 7.3% ABV, it will keep you warm on a cool Autumn eve. Composition: Pale, Crystal, Munich and Biscuit malts. American Fuggle hops. Pumpkin, spice, brown sugar.
Pumpkin Patch Ale
- Rogue Ales
Pumpkin Patch Ale begins in the dirt at Rogue Farms. Six acres of GYO DreamTMSugar Pumpkins were planted in May alongside the Rogue Farms hops, rye, hazelnuts, jalapeños, marionberries and buzzing honey bees. As soon as they were picked, the pumpkins were driven to the Rogue Brewery in Newport, Oregon just 77 miles away. The pumpkins were hand-chopped and seeded, roasted in pizza ovens, and pitched fresh into the brew kettle along with vanilla bean, ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel and Rogue Farms Independent hops to create Pumpkin Patch Ale.
