"Atlanta's MICRO" ™

Located in the section of Atlanta known as "Midtown", the brewery is housed in an old, brick, printing factory. Tours given Thursday and Friday at 5:30 PM and Saturday at 3:00 PM. Their brews are available in 12 oz. bottles at local beer stores and on tap at local pubs.

  • bottle label - 26k JPEG Red Brick Ale
A traditional amber ale made with north Georgia mountain water which is trucked in. It is a deep coppery hue, filtered, and moderately hopped.

Red Brick Ale won a Silver Medal for the English-style Brown Ale category in the Association of Brewers 1996 World Beer Cup.

  • bottle label - 30k JPEG Red Brick Golden Lager
True to its name, a medium-golden lager loosely in the Dortmunder Export style.

  • bottle label - 29k JPEG Red Brick Summer Brew (seasonal)
Brewed for the steamy Atlanta summers, this unusual brew is a pale, barley and wheat-based lager, with a touch of raspberry.

  • bottle label - 36k JPEG Red Brick Winter Brew (seasonal)
One of Atlanta Brewing's more interesting beers, IMO. First brewed for the 1995 holiday season. A lager beer, with raspberry flavoring and spices that impart a toasty, nutty flavor.

  • bottle label - 27k JPEG Red Brick American Wheat
This unfiltered blend of barley and wheat malts would qualify as a true hefe-weizen if the brewer had chosen to use the traditional yeast. Such is not the case, however, and the result is a soft-palated beer without the customary spiciness of a Bavarian hefe.

"Why Float the Mainstream When You Can Explore the SWEET WATER"

Sweetwater is currently producing 3 beers available on draft or in bottles. Tours and tasting are by appointment only.

  • bottle label - 37k JPEG Sweetwater Ale
is a medium-bodied amber ale that uses 7 malts during brewing including a proprietary toasted malt.

Sweetwater Ale won a Silver Medal at the 1997 GABF in the English-style Bitter category.

  • bottle label - 39k JPEG Sweetwater Blue
is a light-bodied wheat/barley malt blend with fresh blueberries added during brewing.

  • bottle label - 39k JPEG 420 Ale
A brilliant golden ale listed as an American Pale Ale. Hop profile is much more subtle than I'd expect for that style though.

RIP include: Marthasville Brewing, Black Bear Brewing Company, Dogwood Brewing, Friends Brewing(Helen), Blind Man's(Athens)
