Atlanta Beer News

Atlanta Brewing becomes Red Brick - Founded in 1993, Atlanta Brewing is the oldest operational small brewery in Georgia. Since the beginning, its beers have been know as Red Brick. “Having two names has confused people for a long time,” Budd said. “And now that we’ve expanded into six other states, there’s no reason to confuse those people, too. We thought this was a great time to rebrand the company to be the same as the brand of beer.”

SweetWater Brewing Introduces Sch'Wheat - Joining the ranks of SweetWater's award-winning full time brews is no joke, and SweetWater brewers have been working hard to find the perfect addition to the family. Emerging from the dark side of our brewers souls SweetWater’s Dank Tank is ready to unleash round 4 from this series of one-hitters off the dedicated Dank 50 barrel Tank. On June 22nd DP Barley Wine will also have the honor to fill the first ever 22oz bottles to roll off the line in SweetWater’s 12 years of brewing heady beers.

Twain's brews changes in beer, style- Nearly 11 years after opening Twain's Billiards and Tap in downtown Decatur, Ethan Wurtzel has given his establishment a fairly thorough refurbishing. If everything goes as planned, a larger, kid-friendlier and beer-brewing Twain's opens today in the same spot it's always occupied, on the corner of Church Street and Trinity Place.
