Siebel Institute of Technology and World Brewing Academy

Siebel Institute of Technology

The Siebel Institute of Technology is a technical school located in the Lincoln Park neighbourhood of Chicago that focuses on brewing science. The school is the oldest brewing school located in the United States and has been in operation since 1872. During Prohibition, the institute diversified by adding courses in baking, refrigeration, engineering, milling, carbonated beverages and related topics. After the repeal of Prohibition, courses not concerned with brewing were discontinued. There are satellite campuses in Munich, Germany and Montreal, Canada.

The courses of the Siebel Institute of Technology and World Brewing Academy (a Siebel Institute and Doemens Academy partnership) cover the full spectrum of brewing science and technology. With over 20 courses and programs, we offer more brewing-specific training than any other school in the world. Siebel's feature world-class courses at our educational facilities in Chicago, Montreal, Munich, and Durango, Colorado, and  offer the industry’s best web-based training programs.
