Beer Review by Beer Advocate
Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation and faint lemon + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy foamy white head that reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

Aroma: Light to moderate aromas of cereal grain, bready, and biscuit malts with a light amount of herbal hops.

Taste: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of cereal grain, bready, and biscuit malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by light flavor of grassy and herbal hops in the finish which contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away slowly.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively crisp upfront.

Overall: Easy to drink and quite refreshing, a good beer for a hot day in the North Carolina summer.

The Brewery
Champion's production brewery is known as the "Missle Factory". This brewery produces their core and seasonal beers on a 30-barrel brewhouse, at a current operating capacity of 10,000 barrels per year. The packaging is done in-house on a Wild Goose engineering 250 canning line, with a unique modifeication for their 24-once "Bomber Cans."

The Tap Room brewery produces constantly changing and innovative seasonals, one-offs, and barrel-aged wild beers, often released exclusively in the tap room in 22 oz. bottles. This 3 barrel brewhouse at the tap room is the "Little Brewery That Could," where they have been brewing since day one.
