Saranac Adirondack Lager Brewed by the Matt Brewing Company Utica, New York
Saranac Adirondack Lager is brewed in the German Lager tradition using
Hallertau and Tettnang hops. Saranac balances the hop bitterness with
caramel malt sweetness, creating what they like to call a “round” beer. This
beer goes well with Red Pasta, Sandwiches, Barbeque Chicken and Tex-Mex. IBU:
20. ABV: 5.5%. 2013 Gold Medal Winner at the U.S. Open Beer Championship.
Beer Review by Beer
Saranac Adirondack Lager brewed by Matt Brewing Company with an ABV of 5.5% This
brew pours out a dark amber color with a thick, white head. The smell is sweet
and rich. You also pick up on some grains. The smell is really inviting. As far
as the taste goes it is bold with flavor. You pick up on some sweetness and
grains. This brew has a nice balance to it. There is nothing over powering in
this brew. Saranac Adirondack Lager goes down smooth and has a nice taste to it.
It also has a nice clean finish. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4.25 out of 5.
