Pyramid Snow Cap Winter Ale - Seattle, Washington

Pyramid Snow Cap Winter Ale - Seattle, Washington

Back in the olden days, this was one of the first Washington winter beers to hit the streets. Yes, children, there was a time when winter beers were very, very rare. This is the 25th release of Pyramid Breweries Snow Cap Winter Warmer. You are welcome to hold whatever opinion of Pyramid you like, but the release of Snow Cap has been a seasonal ritual around Seattle since the dawn of the modern craft beer era.

Pyramid Snow Cap Description
Deep mahogany in color, our full-bodied winter warmer is brewed in the spirit of British winter ales. Crafted with a flurry of roasted chocolate and caramel malts, and generously hopped, it delivers a smooth finish that makes this beer the perfect cold weather companion.

Beer Review by Beer Advocate
Mahogany brown with one finger of tan head. I smell roasted caramel and chocolate malts with dark fruit sweetness and hints of ginger. Very inviting. All the flavors in the nose are present in the flavor with bitter hops and warming alcohol. A solid body holds up well with the bold flavors. Smooth and creamy this is my favorite brew from Pyramid (not saying much) and one of my favorite winter seasonals (saying a lot).
