Shotgun Betty Hefeweizen Brewed by Lonerider Brewing - Raleigh, NC
Shotgun Betty is
a sexy, tough cowgirl who is always armed and dangerous. Don’t be fooled by
her good looks, she will have you for an appetizer! That’s why we picked her
to represent our Hefeweizen. Shotgun Betty is a wheat beer with rich,
banana-clove nose and refreshing dry finish. Sound good? Try one. But
beware, once Betty gets a hold of you there is no escape. 5.8% ABV
Review by Beer Advocate
Pours a cloudy orange color with a good two finger head on it. Retention is
decent as it settles down to some nice lacing around the glass.
The smell of fresh yeast and a hint of banana nut bread. Some hint grassy hops
make for a nice clean aroma overall.
The flavor hits the spot. Sweet malt and baked bread, cloves, and hints of
orange zest. Nothing is over down and balances nicely with some clean hop
bitterness.
Finishes crisp, clean, and has a light body with slight carbonation. Very easy
to drink and is always around because I can drive to the brewery in just 20 mins.
Just no thrills tasty Hefeweizen!!
About Lone Rider Brewing
“Effect change, don’t be an audience. Walk your own path, and instead of
thinking outside the box imagine what if there was no box.” We opened our doors
on January 23rd, 2009 with a beer and a dream. Today, Lonerider has 14 employees
and is one of the CED’s 25 businesses to watch. With an eye for quality, we’ve
crafted each of our beers with the highest quality ingredients. Two of our
brews, Sweet Josie and Deadeye Jack, have taken home some of the highest honors
from the Great American Beer Festival.
Over the years, we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of outlaws with an
enthusiasm for craft beers. With such a tremendous variety out there, we can’t
even to begin to express our gratitude to the community that’s supported us.
We’re proud to be located in North Carolina, which has undoubtedly become the
Southern State for beer.
Remember there is a Lonerider in all of us !
