Rocket Science IPA brewed by Fullsteam Brewery - Durham, NC

Rocket Science IPA brewed by Fullsteam Brewery - Durham, North Carolina

Rocket Science IPA is brewed with Centennial and Amarillo hops, Rocket Scienceis a smooth-but-citrusy American IPA that’s both bitter and refreshing. Is it a West Coast IPA, full of tongue-bracing, enamel stripping hops? No. It actually pairs well with food and doesn’t destroy your palate. An enjoyable, well-structured, refreshing IPA that embodies the nuance of the American South? Why it IS Rocket Science!. 6.8% ABV

Beer Review by Beer Advocate
Appearance - Nice dark straw color with a great white head with tight bubbles. Great frothy lacing.

Aroma - Grassy hop aroma with some malty sweetness.

Taste - The taste is much like the smell. Grassy hops and a malt backbone that imparts a good amount of sweetness to it. Good bitterness after the taste.

Mouthfeel - Very good. Right down the middle of thin and thick. Has a little bit to chew on, but not enough at the same time.

Overall - I have to say this is a very good IPA. Very easy to drink. If Fullsteam was closer, I would drink this all the time. I will have to find out more about this brewery.

Fullsteam Brewery
In the past few years, North Carolina’s beer selection has flourished with beers around the world: Belgian dubbels, tripels, and quads; English bitters and barleywine, German lagers. Amazing craft beer from US breweries establishing regional traditions and styles: the West Coast IPA phenomenon. Hearty Wisconsin lagers. Experimental beers from the Northeast.

But we have yet to develop a Southern craft beer identity.

Fullsteam’s mission is to craft this identity. To create a distinctly Southern beer style that celebrates the culinary and agricultural heritage of the South.
