Climax Brewing began
as the dream of two home brewers who felt it was time for some good beer.
Most of the recipes we use to brew our beer today started out as Dave's own
home brewing recipes and all are developed from the style guidelines and are
100% representations of their given style.
Just over twelve years ago, we started as a tiny 4 barrel brew house with
just 5 tanks. We have grown into a 15 barrel, 15 tank brew house and are
proud to be the oldest micro-brewery in New Jersey.
What makes Climax unique among breweries is our dedication and hard work. We use
only the best ingredients, malts, hops and we never cut corners. We strive for
consistency and proper reproduction of what beers should taste like. You'll
never find us brewing three week lagers. We only brew 6 week lagers like it's
supposed to be done. At Climax Brewing, process is important. We are
perfectionists in our craft and that is what keeps us a head above the rest.
Climax Brewing is the oldest micro brewer in New Jersey and the only brewery
good enough to have it's beers pictured in Michael Jackson's books.
Additionally, we have been ranked in the top 500 breweries out of 40,000
worldwide, by Mr. Jackson and ranked in the top 50 in the United States by Beer
