Bear Republic is
excited to debut a new 22oz. seasonal product, the elusive Racer X™ Double
India Pale Ale. Racer X™ is the first in a series of Bear Republic's
seasonal 22oz bottles scheduled for release in 2012 and will be available in
the San Francisco Bay Area during SF Craft Beer Week, February 10th - 19th.
The recipe for Racer X™ was originally created over 10 years ago by our Brew
Master/Owner, Richard "Ricardo" G. Norgrove, and has been released in kegs
annually with limited availability nationwide...until now!
Like our other packages, the Racer X™ artwork is the hand drawn creation of our
Brew Master, Ricardo, and offers subtle hints towards his inspirations....do you
see the "5"?
Join the brew crew at the pub on Friday, February 10th from 11:30am-1:30pm for
this special release and have your bottle signed by Ricardo (Artist, Brew
Master, Owner, Driver, COO...we could go on...).
Racer X™ 22oz bottles will be available exclusively at Bear Republic Brewing
Company's Pub & Restaurant in Healdsburg, CA on February 10-14th. If you miss it
at the pub, look for Racer X™ 22oz limited release bottles throughout Sonoma
County and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Appearance: Apricot-orange in color, clear and sudsy. Lots of lacing as I twirl
the glass.
Aroma: Citrus and line bouquet, strong. Lots of orange zest, blending nicely
with wafts of caramelly sweet bread. Plenty of alcohol volatiles propel the
aromas.
Taste: Crisp floral hops rush the palate, citrusy and fresh; oily and resinous
as well. The malt-backbone yields enough support, exposing notes of honey and
toffee. The alcohol isn't masked, but held in check by the huge palate - the
brew isn't boozy at all. Finish is perfectly bitter-sweet.
Mouthfeel: Rich and oily. Seeps into every crevice of your mouth...in a good
way.
Overall: Bear Republic is arguably the Godfather brewery of the West Coast IPA,
so it's no surprise that their big hoppy IPA is a standard-bearer. Anytime I see
this on tap it's my first order.

generation Sonoma County residents. From the humble beginning of home brewing to

Located in historic Healdsburg, California, where hop kilns from another era are
still visible, our products are brewed and aged using the traditional "art" of
the masters. Bear Republic's family business is unique, from the mother who
greets you at the door, to the son who brews the ales, the father who pulls tap
and the daughter-in-law who keeps the books. The Norgroves invite you inside for
healthy food and drink for the enjoyment of the whole family. Our goal is to
create and cultivate a Brew Pub and Restaurant that the locals can call their
own and that makes visitors feel at home. We work hard at fostering a sense of
loyalty and tradition from eras gone by.
