Viking Brewing Releases Weathertop Wheat(March 10) - Weathertop Wheat is now in the bottle. This beer is an American wheat beer with 50% wheat. The wheat used is dark roast giving it the dark color. Also there is caramel wheat rather than the more normal caramel barley. Website World Equestrian Games announces Kentucky Ale as official beer(March 11) - The World Equestrian Games "(is) about seeing Kentucky, it's about experiencing Kentucky and now it is about tasting Kentucky, and that's what our beer is all about," said Alltech founder and president Dr. Pearse Lyons. Not only was this a perfect pair, but at 6.2% ABV, this golden ale brewed with Amarillo, Simcoe and Magnum hops is a wonderfully accessible saison on its own.
