New Jersey Craft Beer Festival

 

Reading Phillies Beer Tasting Festival - Reading, PA - July 1
Pre-game sampling of imported and domestic beer provided by All-Star Distributing; all-you-can-eat buffet featuring barbecue chicken and hot dogs; access to the heated pool.

 
Seattle International Beer Festival - Seattle, WA - July 4-6
Outdoor venue with "Grande Beer Garden"; more than 100 beers from over 15 countries; food; live music; free darts, chess, checkers. and backgammon.
 

Colorado Brewers Rendezvous - Salida, CO - July 5
Historic outdoor setting; beer from 40 Colorado microbreweries; live music.

 
Canada Cup of Beer
  - Vancouver, BC - July 6
Last year's festival featured 100 beers from 30 vendors, voting by festival-goers for their favorite products, and prizes for "Best Beer T-Shirt" and "Best Group Costume." More details about this year's event will be posted on the festival website.

 
Food, Beer and Wine Festival
- Mackinac Island, MI - July 6
Beer from Michigan's finest craft breweries and wine from both Michigan and international wineries; food samples from Mission Point Resort's restaurants; discounted admission to the Tower Museum and executive putting course; kids' games, a clown and a strolling magician, the hotel's own Mac the Moose.
 

Empire State Brewing & Music Festival - Syracuse, NY - July 11
Three hundred beers; tents devoted to cask-conditioned and Belgian-style beer; more than 75 national and international brewery representatives on hand to answer questions; five bands, performing on two stages throughout the evening; retailers related to the brewing industry; food from area restaurants; proceeds benefit the New York State Brewers Association and Project Children.
 

AleFest Chicago - Chicago, IL - July 12
More than 150 beers from over 50 world-class breweries; Illinois Craft Brewers Guild replicale, Belgian Golden Ale; live music by Joe Moss; beer wearables and breweriana for sale and breweriana auction and raffle; food available.

 
Barrington Brewfest
- Barrington, IL - July 12
Fifth annual event; beer from more than 20 breweries; music provided by the Big Sky String Band; food by Yankee Doodle and Sergio's; 50-50 raffle and beanbag constest.

 

Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival - Charlotte, NC - July 12
More than 60 beers, and up to 40 bourbons; a number of barbecue tastes for sampling; "bourbon college," with tasting classes from master distillers; heated cigar tent; a portion of the proceeds benefits the WCD Foundation for Education.

 

Brews n'Blues - Oshkosh, WI - July 12
Last year's festival featured more than 100 regional beers, food, and live blues music; proceeds go to support the Christine Anne Center for Domestic Abuse and other charities. More details about this year's festival will be posted on the Oshkosh Jaycees' website.

 

Made in the Shade Beer Festival - Flagstaff, AZ - July 12
Beer tasting under the pine trees, with more than 50 Southwest breweries represented; food and live entertainment; a limit number of VIP tickets are also available.

 

Microbreweries Battling Breast Cancer - Larkspur, CA - July 12
Afternoon tasting session, with beer from more than 25 local microbreweries; live music all afternoon. More details about this festival will be posted on the Marin Brewing Company's website.

 

Rails to Ales Brewfest - South Cle Elum, WA - July 12
Inaugural event, held in Milwaukee Road Depot and Railyard; beer from a dozen area microbreweries; music by two local bands; railroad relics and history.

 

Ohio Brew Week - South Cle Elum, WA - July 14-19
A week-long celebration of Ohio craft brewing, with more than 75 beers to sample; beer-related foods and specials at 21 establishments in the Athens area; cooking with beer demonstrations; speakers, including special guest speaker TBA; "People’s Choice Award" presentation during Athens' Boogie on the Bricks festival.

  

London Beerfest - London, ON - July 17-19
Beer from international, Canadian, and craft breweries; food and live music; The Beer School, hosted by Roger Mittag, "The Professor of Beer."

  

Dog  & Grog Montana Microbrew Festival - Virginia City, MT - July 18-19
Live music and $2 refills with the purchase of a pint glass Friday evening; more than 25 beers from 10 Montana microbreweries Saturday afternoon, with live music during and after the tasting; rain-or-shine tented event.

 

Portland International Beer Festival - Virginia City, MT - July 18-19
Outdoor venue with "Grande Beer Garden"; more than 100 beers from over 15 countries; food; live music; free darts, chess, checkers. and backgammon.

 

Thomas Lord Beer Festival - South Cle Elum, WA - July 18-20
Free family event, with more than 40 Hampshire ales, 100-percent local food menu (event is held in conjunction with the Hampshire Food Festival), and more than 20 hours of live music ranging from acoustic and folk to Caribbean to jazz and blues; camping and shuttle bus.

 

Vermont Brewers Festival - Burlington, VT - July 18-19
Festival venue is on the shores of Lake Champlain, with the Adirondacks in the background; event features beer from more than 30 invited brewers from Vermont and the region; gourmet food, music, and children's activities.

 

A Tasting in the Wilds - Ridgway, PA - July 19

Craft Beer Expo - St. Petersburg, FL - July 19
More than 150 beers; beer dinner (menu TBA on the festival website); homebrew demonstration; beer and cheese pairing; educational seminars.

 

Gulf Brew -  Lafayette, LA - July 19
A celebration in the style of Munich's Oktoberfest, featuring craft breweries from the Gulf South, homebrewing exhibits, food from local restaurants, artwork, and non-stop live music; festival is held in conjunction the with Southern Open 2008 art exhibition.

 

Hops, Vines & Wine Festival - Selinsgrove, PA - July 19
Inaugural event, held in historic downtown location; beer and wine from the region's craft beers and wineries; food vendors and entertainment; proceeds will go to downtown revitalization.

 

Indiana Microbrewers Festival - Indianapolis, IN - July 19
More than 200 beers from 20 Indiana breweries and 15 out-of-state breweries; brewers in attendance; cask-conditioned table, with up to 16 firkins served on gravity; replicale, with Indiana breweries using a mutual recipe; games, including toss the keg and "Dunk the Brewer"; live music and food; door prizes.

Beer from 20 area breweries; pub snacks and live music.

 

Summer Cooler Beer Fest - Asheville, NC - July 20
Inaugural event; beer samples from local microbrewreies; barbecue; live music provided by Woody Wood and Empty Slate.

 

Oregon Brewers Festival  - Portland, OR - July 24-27
North America's largest gathering of independent brewers, with beer from 73 invited breweries; exhibits by hop growers, maltsters, and homebrewers; food and live entertainment, and a brewers parade to kick off the festivities.

 

Michigan Brewers' Guild Summer Beer Festival - Ypsilanti, MI - July 25-26
Friday evening and Saturday afternoon tasting sessions, with more than 40 Michigan breweries participating and hourly releases of special festival beers; beautiful park setting with food, live entertainment, and educational lectures.

 

Beer on the Bay - Erie, PA - July 26
Inaugural event; two tasting sessions, featuring beer from more 25 of the region's microbreweries; music by the Duke Sherman Blues Band; food and refreshments available.

 

Brew at the Zoo--Philadelphia - Philadelphia, PA - July 26
New venue this year; beer from more than 40 breweries and suppliers; food, including Philadelphia pretzels, zeps, and pizza; live music by Soniq Boom.

 

Harpoon Championship of New England Barbecue - Windsor, VT - July 26-27
Harpoon beer; barbecue, with 40 teams competing for prizes, with winning entries sold to the public; live music, provided by Vermont bands; brewery tours throughout the weekend.

 

Lac du Flambeau Lions Brewfest - Minocqua, WI - July 26
Lakeside setting; beer from more than 25 breweries, most from Wisconsin and the Midwest; "People's Choice" awards; live entertainment; food, including bratwurst; raffles all afternoon; all proceeds go to state and local charities.

 

Microbrew Festival & Concert - Del Mar, CA - July 26
More than 50 beers from over 20 breweries; live thoroughbred racing; post-race concert by Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Gnarls Barkley; free entry with racetrack admission.

 

Music City Brewer's Festival - Nashville, TN - July 26
Beer from more than 30 local, regional and national breweries; local bands, performing on the Sam Ash Music Stage; food from area restaurants; Uptown's Smoke Shop Cool Zone; homebrewing demonstrations.

 

Newburyport Brewfest - Newburyport, MA - July 30
Riverside venue; more than 30 craft beers from some of around the country; music by EJ Oulette and Crazy Maggy; food provided by The Grog and David's Tavern.

 

Hart House Craft Beer Festival and Summer BBQ  - ON, Canada - July 31
Beer from a dozen Ontario craft breweries, appearance by Toronto’s cultural craft beer expert Mirella Amato, complimentary barbecue nibbles, and entertainment provided by three live bands.
