Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer - Chicago, IL - November 3
More than 70 beers, many of them aged in oak, whisky, and wine barrels, from nearly 30 breweries from Illinois and throughout the United States, with Best of Show competition.

Maine Brewers’ Festival - Portland, ME - November 3

Smyrna Hops & Barley Beer Tasting - Smyrna, GA - November 3
Hundreds of local and international beers; live and DJ music; food from area restaurants.

NERAX North - Haverhill, MA - November 8-10
The inaugural satellite festival of the New England Real Ale Exposition; a smaller, more intimate version of NERAX but with a similar mix of British and American cask ales: a selection of 25 firkins with new casks every session.

Fall Fest of Ale - Janesville, WI - November 10
New and larger venue this year; beer from more than 30 breweries; food from area restaurants; music by Milwaukee's Sigmund Snopek.

Great International Beer Festival - Providence, RI - November 10
Last year's event featured two tasting sessions, with more than 200 beers available; live music; and a Friday evening beer competition sponsored by Yankee Brew News. Details about this year's event will be posted on the festival website.

Fall Fest of Ale - Janesville, WI - November 10
New venue this year, with more participating brewers; food and live entertainment, best-of-festival awards.

Phinney Neighborhood Association Winter Beer Taste - Seattle, WA - November 10
Beer, featuring winter ales, from more than 25 microbreweries; snacks; bluegrass music; breweriana silent auction of beer paraphernalia.

Vancouver's Hopscotch - Vancouver, BC - November 12-17
Beverage tasting at the Grand Tasting Hall; brewmaster dinners, brewery tours, and barbecues at other event venues. Last year's event sold out.

Beach Barley Bash - Virginia Beach, VA - November 16
Tasting event featuring a variety of microbrewed beers and food from the area's top restaurants.

Great Brews of America Classic Beer Festival - Lake Harmony, PA - November 17-18
Fifty classic and microbrewed American beers, musical entertainment on three different stages; crafts and artwork on exhibition and for sale; food purveyors; seminars on beer-related topics; Beer and Food Matching Dinner Saturday evening.

Holiday Ale Festival - Portland, OR - November 29-December 2
More than three dozen winter craft beers, some created especially for the festival, others not available on the general market; venue is clear, heated tent; food, beer merchandise, mead sampling, and seasonal music; Brewers Brunch on Sunday.

Strong Ale Festival - Carlsbad, CA - November 30-December 1

More than 60 beers, all with 8% ABV and higher; new this year: afternoon VIP Friday afternoon. Tickets go on sale October 1.
