Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza - Mammoth Lakes, CA - August 3-4
Outdoor venue "among the pines"; beer from 50 area microbreweries; music by a variety of nationally-known blues artists plauing a variety of styles.

Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival - Keystone, CO - August 4-5
Beer from 25 regional microbreweries; plus down-home Appalachian food and live music on two stages.

Rocky Mountain Wine, Beer & Food Festival - Winter Park, CO - August 4
Beer, wine, and food tasting; silent auction; cooking demonstrations by area chefs; buffet tray.

WaZoo - Tampa, FL - August 4
Last year's event was "tropical taste explosion" featuring beer of the world and a wine garden, food from Tampa Bay-area restaurants, and live entertainment; proceeds benefit animals at the zoo. Details of this year's event will be posted on the zoo's website.

Rochester German Fest - Rochester, NY - August 10-12
German food and drink, folk dancing and rides for children, live music and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Toronto's Festival of Beer - Toronto, ON - August 10-12
Canada's leading beer festival, with more than 200 beers; Southern-style barbecue, live entertainment, and grilling demonstrations by TV personalities; historic setting; also, satellite events throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Bronze Blues & Brews Festival - Joseph, OR - August 11
Blues music by regional and national performers, beer from Western microbreweries, food and souvenir vendors, camping available; free shuttle bus between Enterprise and Wallowa Lake and the festival venue.

Great Taste of the Midwest - Madison, WI - August 11
About 500 beers from more than 100 breweries and brewpubs from the Midwest; festival venue is lakeside setting; celebrity brewer dunk tank; food, live entertainment, and plenty of space to spread out.

Microfestivus - Downtown Roanoke, VA - August 11
Tenth annual event; 50 to 75 microbrews and craft beers, most of them from the Mid-Atlantic region; food vendors and live music.

Brews, Brats, and Bands Festival - Stevens Point, WI - August 17-18
Free admission; Stevens Point Brewery products, live music, carnival rides, silent auction, and Johnsonville brats.

Flour City Brewers' Fest - Rochester, NY - August 17
New venue this year; beer from local and national microbreweries; food; live music by regional artists.

Art and Ale - Parker, CO - August 24
Beer from area breweries, food from local restaurants, and live music; ticket includes admission to museum galleries.

Sherwood Parks Beer & Wine Festival - Sherwood Park, AB - August 24-25
"A showcase of brewing history," hosted by Canadian brewmasters and wine connoisseurs; a wide variety of beers and wines; live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, beer- and wine-making seminars and wine tasting classes.

Blues 'n' Brews Festival - Westford, MA - August 25
Last year's event featured beer from dozens of area breweries; live blues music; barbecue and other food; raffles, games, and demonstrations; craft and vendor booths. Details of this year's event will be posted on the festival website.

Brew at the Zoo Louisville - Louisville, KY - August 25
A wide variety of microbrewed beers, food and live entertainment; proceeds benefit the zoo.
Great Eastern Invitational Microbrewery Festival - Adamstown, PA - August 25
Two tasting sessions, with more than 50 microbrewed beers and Stoudt's "Best of the Wurst" buffet.

Hops in Humboldt - Downtown Fortuna, CA - August 25
Beer from more than 25 northern California and southern Oregon breweries, homebrew demonstrations, food and live music, arts and crafts vendors, children's areas; proceeds go to charity.

Sierra Brewfest - Grass Valley, CA - August 25
Festival venue is shaded by tall Ponderosa pine trees; beer from more than 35 microbreweries; food, including sausages, barbecue, roasted corn, and ice cream; wine and non-alcoholic beverages; live music.

AleFest Dayton - Dayton, OH - August 26
More than 300 beers, including cask selections, from more than 50 world-class breweries; beer wearables and memorabilia on sale; local celebrity tasting panel; raffle and silent auction; expanded food and beer tents.
