Hayward Rib & Brew Fest - Hayward, WI - September 1-2
Brew Fest will be held September 1, with more than 40 handcrafted beers and local wines; admission to the dance; live music; barbecued ribs, side dishes, snacks, and desserts.
Hop Madness - Salem, OR  - September 1-2
A celebration of hops and their role in beer"; new venue this year; free hop bines to homebrewers (BYO brewing equipment); brewing competition; harvest-time hop farm tours; camping available.


La Fete Bières et Saveurs - Chambly, QC - September 1-4
Fifth annual event, held on a national historic site on the banks of the Richelieu River; festival features micro-brewed beers as well as wine, cider, cheese, and other Quebec products; entertainment includes acrobats, musicians, magicians, and jugglers.


Mount Snow Brewer's Festival - West Dover, VT - September 1-2
An annual Labor Day weekend event, featuring beer from many of New England's finest microbreweries, food and live music, and family activities.


Festival of Iowa Beers - Millstream Brewery, Amana, IA  - September 2
Last year's festival attracted nine Iowa breweries and more than 540 people; organizers hope to have an even better third year; live music and local food will also be part of this event.


Gunnison BeerFest - Gunnison, CO - September 2
Beer from a number of area breweries; "Taste of Gunnison," featuring food from Gunnison's restaurants; music and other activities throughout the event. For more information, email chamberevents at roadrunner dot com.


Brew at the Zoo, Denver - Denver Zoo, Denver, CO - September 7
Tenth annual event; food and drinks from more than 25 of Colorado's breweries and restaurants; music and dancing; event is a benefit for the zoo's educational programs.


Connecticut River Brewers Fest - Holyoke Canoe Club (on the banks of the Connecticut River), Holyoke, MA  - September 7-9
More than 100 beers from 30 regional microbreweries; scenic festival venue; continuous live music; food provided by Burnt Offerings BBQ.


Emerald Coast Beer Fest - Pensacola, FL - September 7
Beer from Southeastern microbreweries and brewpubs; bottled specialty beers and a selection of homebrewed beers for sampling; food and music by the McGuires Irish Pub Pipe Band.
Great Canadian Beer Festival - Victoria, BC - September 7-8
Last year's festival featured cask-conditioned selections from more than 50 breweries from British Columbia and the Northwest; Belgian beer tent; and free shuttle bus between downtown and the festival venue. More details about this year's event will be posted on the festival website.


Hopps of Fun Beer & Wine Festival - Mackinaw City, MI - September 7-8
More than 50 Michigan microbrewed beers, plus more than 40 wines from Michigan's four wine regions, with brewmasters and winemakers on hand; food and a variety of entertainers from the area;picturesque views of the Mackinaw City waterfront.


MainStrasse Oktoberfest - Covington, KY - September 7-9
Oktoberfest-style celebration in restored German village; German beer and food; a variety of entertainment; arts and crafts booths.


Rib'n Brews Festival - Tsongas Arena, Lowell, MA - September 7-9
"New England MicroBrew Championship" Friday and Saturday evening, with a number of area of microbreweries and voting for festival-goers' favorites; Kansas City-style barbecue competition; and live entertainment from some of Boston’s top bands.


Snowshoe Mountain's Oktoberfest - Snowshoe Mountain, WV - September 7-8
Traditional Oktoberfest celebration, with traditional German food and German and German-style beers and live oom-pah music.


Beer on the Plaza - Healdsburg, CA - September 8
Beer from more than 25 breweries; sausage and other foods; live music; raffle, with gift certificates from local merchants in Healdsburg, and several big prizes. Tickets for raffle are $5 each.


Brews, Blues & BBQ - Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds, Yuba City, CA - September 8
Microbrewed beer; two live bands; barbecued tri-tip beef, bratwurst sandwiches, and other food; proceeds benefit Kiwanis scholarship fund.


Brews in the Village - Bakersfield, CA - September 8
More than 100 beers from about 60 North America, plus more than 50 wines from 20 Central Coast wineries; live entertainment on four stages; food from Bakersfield's restaurants; Big KahunaVille, featuring theme bars and entertainers.


Clearwater Beer Festival - Eau Claire, WI - September 8
About 100 regionally-brewed craft beers, including a ceremonial specialty beer poured every hour on the hour; pulled pork sandwiches, with all the fixings; live music; Clearwire Broadband "Best of the Brews" contest.


Jenkintown Jazz and Brewfest - Jenkintown, PA - September 8
Premium handcrafted beers; jazz greats, including the Tim Warfield Quintet and Roger Prieto septet.


Stone 11th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival - San Marcos, CA - September 8
Details will be posted on the brewery's website.


Wild Goose Flock Party - Frederick, MD - September 8
Inaugural event; complimentary samples of Wild Goose and Flying Dog beer; pulled pork and brats from Brewer’s Alley, live music, and brewery tours.


Crested Butte Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cookoff -  Crested Butte, CO - September 9
Beer from more than 15 area breweries; live music; a variety of chilis, cooked by local residents. Festival website is not yet operational.


Mt. Angel Oktoberfest - Mt. Angel, OR - September 13-16
Traditional Biergarten, Weingarten and Alpinegarten; continuous live music on four stages; free Kindergarten with rides and shows; Friday and Saturday night street dancing; more than 60 Alpine food chalets serving ethnic foods; arts and crafts show; "Cruz-n Car" show; RV and tent camping.


Chippewa Falls Oktoberfest - Chippewa Falls, WI - September 14-16
Last year's event featured keg tapping and other traditional Oktoberfest events, games and contests, musical acts and other entertainment. More details about this year's event will be posted on the Oktoberfest website.


New York Brewfest - New York, NY - September 14
More than 300 beers from New York State's 58 breweries, as well as regional and national breweries; festival is sanctioned by the New York State Brewers Association and endorsed by the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets; live music by four bands; event benefits the Brewers Association.


Oktoberfest on the River - Minneapolis, MN - September 14-15
Riverside venue; German and Bavarian beers and wines served in the Biergarten; authentic German foods; live music and dancing; free admission.


Brass City Brewfest - Waterbury, CT - September 15
More than 200 different beers, the widest selection of any festival in Connecticut.


Telluride Blues & Brews - Telluride, CO - September 14-16
Outdoor music venue with mountain peaks for a backdrop; beer from 50 breweries during Saturday's Grand Tasting; nationally-renown blues artists (this year's performers to be announced); food and crafts market.


Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest - Big Bear Lake, CA - September 15-October 27
America's highest elevation biergarten;Oktoberfest entertainers; log-sawing and stein-holding contests; the Chicken Dance; performances by authentic dance groups; arts and craft exhibitors; children's activities.


Brew Ha Ha - Davenport, IA - September 15
Hundreds of beers and cheeses; live entertainment; festival site is on the banks of he Mississippi River.


California Brewers Festival - Sacramento, CA - September 15
Microbrewed beers from from all over the United States; professional beer competition, featuring awards in 13 categories; food and live music.


Capital City Invitational Beer Festival - Harrisburg, PA - September 15
Tenth annual event; beer from more than 20 regional breweries; three tasting sessions; a variety of vendors on hand; live entertainment and German-style buffet at all sessions.


Great Lakes Beer Fest - Racine, WI - September 15
Lakeshore venue; more than 250 craft beers from over 100 breweries; complimentary pint to first 1,000 paid admissions; live music on two stages Schooner; homebrew championship; VIP packages available.


Higgins' Festival of Ale - Worcester, MA - September 15
Dozens of beers from many of New England breweries. More details will be posted on the museum's website.


Hops in the City - St. Louis, MO - September 15
More 40 styles of Schlafly beer; barbecue food and local live music; local vendors, offering product samples and demonstrations.


Madison County Hop Fest - Oneida, NY - September 15
Beer from more than 20 craft brewers, and food and beer pairings, with dishes from local restaurants; presentations on hop culture; and music by Quigsy and the Bird, and beer sampling provided by over 20 of the finest craft brewers. Beer dinner the night before the festival at the Ye Olde Landmark Tavern; guided bus tour of Madison County hop gardens, with stops at restaurants for food and beer.


Steel City Big Pour - Pittsburgh, PA - September 15
 "Three Hours of Beer, Live Art, and Music"; beer from 20 breweries; live music; food; kegerator art; and "a not so silent auction".
Addison Oktoberfest - Addison, TX - September 20-23
Twentieth annual event; polka, German food and Paulaner beer; music, folk dancing, sing-alongs, and children’s entertainment.


Frankenmuth Oktoberfest - Frankenmuth, MI - September 20-23
Plenty of cold beer; traditional Bavarian entertainment, including Schuhplatter; German food; wiener dog races; Sunday German worship service; and amusement rides for children.


Capitol City Carnival - Centreville, VA - September 21-23
Inaugural event, featuring microbrewed beer, music, and magic.


Fremont Oktoberfest - Fremont District, Seattle, WA - September 21-23
Last year's event featured more than 50 Northwest microbrews; German food and music; Urban Carnival, new this year, with carnival rides; live music on two stages; fun run; chainsaw pumpkin carving contest; and arts and crafts. More details about this year's event will be posted on the Oktoberfest website.


Oktoberfest on Larimer Square -  Denver, CO - September 21-23 and October 5-7
New venue this year; event is modeled after Munich's Oktoberfest; more entertainment and German-oriented goods and entertainment; large Biergartens and authentic cuisine; free admission.


San Diego Festival of Beer - San Diego, CA - September 21
More than 100 microbrews from over 60 area microbreweries; live music by Len Rainey and the Midnight Players and by Night Shift.


German Beer Fest -  Boston, MA - September 22
Inaugural event, coinciding with opening day of Munich's Oktoberfest, features a hand-picked selection of German lagers and ales, including Oktoberfest beers as well as beer education.


Great Smokies Craft Brewers Brewgrass Festival -  Asheville, NC - September 22
Beer from about 50 breweries from over 30 American breweries, national and regional bluegrass performers, food provided by area vendors.


Great Tucson Beer Festival - Tucson, AZ - September 22
More than 200 beers from over 50 breweries; live entertainment; VIP early admission and sampling tickets are available.


Oktoberfest Zinzinnati -  Cincinnati, OH - September 22
America's largest Oktoberfest; German beer, music and food; famed for the world's largest Chicken Dance and world's largest kazoo band; free admission.

Steamboat Brewers' Festival - Steamboat Springs, CO  - September 22
This event, with new organizers and a new look, features beer from 25 Colorado breweries, with live music and food vendors on the premises.


Thirsty Troll Beer Festival - Mt. Horeb, WI - September 22
Beer sampling, featuring 35 craft brewers serving more than 100 different beers and sodas; food served by area restaurants; festivalgoers can sit in the "Thirsty Troll Throne" or get their picture taken with Ivan the Thirsty Troll.


Big Lake Brewfest - Superior, WI - September 23
Beer from 25 area breweries; outdoor beer garden; games and contests.


Sippin' By the River - Philadelphia, PA - September 23
Beer and wine tasting, with tutored tastings by beer expert Gary Monterosso; food from area restaurants; cooking demonstrations; live entertainment; VIP area available.


Oktoberfest "Big Weekend" - Brewery Hall, Stoudt's Brewery, Adamstown, PA - September 28-30
A European tradition featuring beer, oom-pah bands, and a pig roast.


Oktoberfest USA - La Crosse, WI - September 28-October 6
Tapping of the "Golden Keg," German food and entertainment, lederhosen luncheon, honorary royal family, torchlight parade.


Fair Oaks'toberfest - Fair Oaks, CA - September 29
An Oktoberfest "designed for brew fest lovers." Details will be posted on the event website.


Lakes Region Brew Fest - Point Sebago, ME - September 29
Beer from more than 20 Maine microbreweries, local wines, live music, German food, and a craft fair featuring dozens of Maine artisans; event is held in conjunction with Point Sebago’s Oktoberfest weekend and Craft Fair.


Lehigh Valley Brewfest - Allentown, PA
Beer from more than 15 regional breweries. More details will be posted on the festival website.


Maryland Microbrewery Festival - Westminster, MD - September 29
Historic venue; beer from Maryland microbreweries; food vendors; continuous live music and entertainment; craft and merchandise vendors; beer seminars; event is sanctioned by the State of Maryland.


Oaktoberfest - Paso Robles, CA- September 29
Firestone Walker beers, featuring special Oktoberfest beer; traditional German foods; live polka and reggae music; "Beer Olympics"; homebrew demonstration, cheese sampling, cigars, and costume contest; proceeds benefit the Hospice of San Luis Obispo County.


Victory Fall Fest -  Downingtown, PA - September 29
Free admission; activities for children, including roving carnival artists; live music, German-style Victory beer, along with German food.
