GABF 2007 QuestionAugust 25, 2007 @ 6:51pm
I plan to attend the GABF this year. I attend the 2002 festival and really enjoyed it. This year I would like to expand my horizons and make the fest more fun for my wife. We have been looking at the Beer & Food Pairing Demos but we were unsure what they were like. Are you actually able to taste the food or is this just a lecture? Are there a boat load of people there and you can't really get much information? My wife is a very good cook and enjoys things like Food TV, lectures from famous chefs, food vacations, etc. She is also very supportive of my brewing hobby. My last trip to the GABF was a two week themed vacation to the four states area. The theme was ancient Americans and beer. We went to Mesa Verde, Chacoa Canyon but also to the GABF, Glenwood Springs Brewery plus breweries in Taos and Durango. Can someone give me more insight into the Pairings Demo. I am trying to decide between attending the Friday evening session for the Demo or the Saturday afternoon session, which will be less crowded.

Thanks for any help.
